Event 2: Chinning: One Chance as many repetitions one can do as per correct method and rules.
The total correct repetitions of both the event are counted and the result is declared.

History

Weight Group:
Men below: 50Kg,55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg,75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 100kg and above 100kg.
Women : Below 45kg,50kg, 60kg, 65kg,70kg,75kg,80kg,90kg and above 90kg.
Handicapped: Below 60kg, And above 60kg.


THE RULES:
Referee: There are four referees
1, Counting Referee who will hold the mike and count every repetition whether it is correct or incorrect. Even the slight repetitive movement will also be counted. He will sit on the dais in front of apparatus where he will watch the complete movements without any obstacle.
2, Three referees, one will stand in the center just behind the apparatus and the other two will stand on both the sides of the apparatus. They will stand in such as way that they will not obstruct the public and counting referee's view.
3, Three referees will carefully watch every repetition and count the wrong repetition without consulting each other during the body lifter is performing the event. When the event is over the central referee will add the wrong repetition observed by the three referees and divide by three to calculate the average wrong repetitions. Than the counting referee is informed about the number of wrong repetition. The counting referee deducts the wrong repetition from the total repetition counted and correct repetition score are announced and recorded.

The Events: 

Chinning:
A, It is done by hanging from a single bar with both hands not more than 82cm. apart with palm facing out side. The person must hang still with his Elbows locked and arms straight. At this position the counting judge say start and the body lifter start chinning repetitions.

B, The chinning is complete when the person bring his/her nose, lip and chin close to the bar.The chinning is considered completed where the shoulder joint line crosses the elbow joint line. The lower part of the triceps is above the elbow joint line While going down he will have to open up and lock his/her Elbow joint.

C, during the movement the person is not allowed to swing.

D, During the chinning movement person is not allowed to get support from any of the parts of the chinning apparatus. During the Chinning movement person is not allowed to shift his/her hands from one point to the other.


E, During the chinning movement, while hanging the person is allowed to take rest or pause for not more than five seconds. The middle/back referee will start counting from one to five, when he finds the body lifter is just hanging for rest or pause. If the Body lifter does not start the movement within the five count [five seconds] then the referees are liable to deduct one repetition per five count from the total. If the body lifter takes pause more than fifteen counts then the central referee will stop the person to perform more repetition in the event.

Chinning

Parallel bar dips:
A, It is done by hanging from a Parallel bar with both hands with palm facing inside. The person must hang still with his Elbows locked and arms straight. At this position the counting judge say start and he body lifter start Dipping repetitions.
B, The Dipping is complete when the person brings his/her chest at the level of parallel the bar. The side judges keep their eye on the triceps, elbows and shoulder joint. The movement is complete when the shoulder joint goes lower to the level of elbow joint tip. While going up he will have to open up and lock his/her Elbow joint.
C, during the movement the person is not allowed to swing.
D, During the Dipping movement person is not allowed to get support from any of the parts of the Dipping apparatus. During the Dipping movement person is not allowed to shift his/her hands from one point to the other.
'E, During the Dipping movement, while hanging the person is allowed to take rest or pause for not more than five seconds. The middle referee will start counting from one to five, when he finds the body lifter is just hanging for rest or pause. If the Body lifter does not start the movement within the five count [five seconds] then the referees are liable to deduct one repetition per five count from the total. If the body lifter takes pause more than fifteen counts [seconds] then the central referee will stop the person to perform more repetition in the event.

The Equipment: 
The bodylifting equipment is very simple the standing strong square / round pipes are vertically erected on the balanced stand 24’’ apart and the height of the chinning bar is 8 feet and the parallel bar is 4.6 feet. The apparatus is provided with foot stair for climbing to both the bars for performing the action of the exercises without jumping to the bars. 

General Rules:
1, The competitor is given one chance on each apparatus.
2, The Chinning is first to perform and Parallel bar dips is after the chinning of all the competitors int he group is over.
3, The Chest numbers are issued in order of convenience.
4, The competitor dress is sandow or sleeveless shirt and short or tight slacks.
5, Polio ridden or other type of handicapped persons is not included in the general categories, but they can complete in the special categories for handicapped.
